Samsung is introducing the entirely new
line-up of LED TV, Series 8000, 7000 and 6000 which offers full range of Compare Samsung TV Prices products from 32” to 55”. These TVs use LEDs
as their primary light source, rather than traditional Cold Cathode Fluorescent
Lamps (CCFL). Benefits of using LEDs include high contrast ratios, slim depths
that allow for more artful designs, plus increased energy savings. In addition,
a variety of networking features enable these TVs to adapt to how consumers
view and experience shows, movies, games
and other multimedia at home by Samsung TV Compare. The
reason the 9-Series has such a jump is because of the backlighting panels. The
7 and 8 Series LCD panels have CCFLs (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps) that are
always on, and consistently bright.
The 9-Series reintroduces an LED-based LCD panel. So instead of the CCFLs behind the panels, there are strategically placed LED (Light Emitting Diodes) behind the LCD. Why would we do this? Well, there are several reasons. Lets explore.
One: It allows for local dimming. Lets say you have a bright flower in the center of the screen in an otherwise completely black picture. The LED lights behind the flower image will brighten, while the LEDs behind the remaining black picture will dim, or turn off (depending on the picture). This allows you an incredibly realistic picture.
Two: Provides an enhanced detail for dark and dimly lit image.
Three: Allows for the darkest, and some of the brightest images, as well as optimizes the colors hue and enlarges the color gamut, resulting in more natural colors.
The best way to describe it would be to say that with local dimming, you get more grayscales. More grayscales result in more colors, producing a more detailed and crisp picture.
